Allu Arjun announced a donation of Rs.25 lakhs to the Kerala CM Relief Fund to help the victims of the recent landslides in Wayanad.


On Sunday, the actor took to his Instagram and shared a heartfelt note.


Allu Arjun wrote: “Recently I am deeply saddened by the landslides in Wayanad. Kerala has always given me a lot of love, to support the rehabilitation work Kerala CM Relief Fund Rs. I want to do my best by donating 25 lakhs. Praying for your safety and strength. "


In the caption, the actor added: "Praying for the safety and strength of the people of Kerala."


In the early hours of July 30, landslides occurred at several places in Punjri Mattom, Mundakkai, Churalmala, Attamala, Meppadi and Kunhom ??villages in Kerala's Wayanad district.


These landslides caused heavy casualties.


Due to heavy rains, landslides caused mud, water and boulders to flow over the area.


With at least 361 deaths reported, over 273 injured, and 206 missing, the landslides have been marked as one of the worst natural disasters in Kerala's history.


Over 80,000 square meters of land slid and debris flowed up to 8 kilometers along the Iruvanzipuzha River.


Meanwhile, Allu Arjun is gearing up for his upcoming potential box office juggernaut, 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'. The film, which was earlier slated to release on August 15, will now hit the theaters on December 6, 2024.
