Raveena on Patriarchy: Still a challenge for women at work and at home

Raveena Tandon, who is receiving a lot of positive response for her work in the streaming movie 'Patna Shukla', feels that despite progressive laws and a better mindset of the society, patriarchy is still very prevalent in the present times. The actress says that women still face challenges posed by patriarchy in their personal and professional circles. 

Elaborating on the same, Raveena, who plays lawyer Tanvi Shukla in 'Patna Shukla', says, “Patriarchy is something every woman has faced and still faces, be it at work or at home. 'Patna Shukla' is the journey of a woman who is dictated by patriarchy and breaks away from it." “Tanvi does not see patriarchy as a challenge, she pursues justice and shatters patriarchal mirrors along the way. I want the audience to embrace Tanvi's courage, warmth and determination because no challenge lasts long,” she added.

The film delves into the education scandal of fake roll numbers affecting the lives of thousands of eager students in India.
