Fashion tip: Actors, labels appreciate Gen-Z for mixing style with comfort wear, bright colors
Love it, hate it, but you can't ignore Gen-Z's fashion statement as they bring back baggy wear fever or Y2K dressing with bright colors, "zoomers" being hailed by celebrities like Alaia. F, Ayesha Kanga and a few luxury labels are also "rewriting the rulebook" for style. "I definitely think Gen-z have redefined fashion. I think they've influenced a lot of trends. They kind of grew up in an age of trends. Thanks to social media, everything is about the latest trend and concept going viral.
The actress thinks they nailed it.
Gen-Zs are those born between the mid to late 1990s and early 2010s.
On how they gave a fresh take on fashion, Alaia shared: "Their fashion trends are fun, there's a lot of colour."
Comfort is key and it's back, says Alaia."Another aspect of Gen-Z dressing is that comfort has come back with baggier looks and some cute mini skirts, crop tops, bright colors, Gen-Z style has brought variety to it and I think it's very customizable for each individual."
