Devoleena opens up about doing films: It doesn't mean I won't work on TV or the web now
I am very happy that Devoleena Bhattacharjee is entering films. However, she says that doing films now means taking a step back from working on the small screen or the web. The actress, who gained popularity for playing the role of Gopi Bahu in the show 'Sath Nibhana Sathiya', will be seen in the lead role in 'Bengal 1947: An Untold Love Story'.
Talking about her big screen debut, Devoleena said: "I'm very excited to be doing my first film. I want my audience to embrace and embrace me every time. I'm not limited to any particular medium. The actress, who was last seen in 'Dil Diyaan Gallan', says she will not take a single step back from the small screen or digital platforms.
"I am an actor and my work is acting. But Bollywood screens are considered the best stage and every actor wants to rule that stage."
“Me too, but I'm always up for a good story. I enjoy my work whether it's live on stage in theatre, TV shows, web or films. But doing films doesn't mean I won't consider TV or the web now,” she added.
